I cannot believe that it is September.
Last night as I was getting ready for bed it hit me.
We only have one month till Halloween, two months till Thanksgiving and then 3 months till Christmas.
Holy moly time flies when you're havin fun and stayin busy.
I am so glad we are finally in the "Ember" months though, because I am totally completely ready for FALL!
Bring on the jeans, boots, scarves, coffee during the day, pumpkin carving, and the Holidays!

Twenty-two-year-old Skeeter has just returned home after graduating from Ole Miss. Minny, Aibileen's best friend, is short, fat, and perhaps the sassiest woman in Mississippi. She can cook like nobody's business, but she can't mind her tongue, so she's lost yet another job. Minny finally finds a position working for someone too new to town to know her reputation. But her new boss has secrets of her own.
Seemingly as different from one another as can be, these women will nonetheless come together for a clandestine project that will put them all at risk. And why? Because they are suffocating within the lines that define their town and their times. And sometimes lines are made to be crossed.

but it was so good, I HAVE to share it again.
Seriously, this book was AH-MAZING.
It was historically accurate (I know I'm a history major and taught all about this period to a bunch of 17 year olds in the spring), it's thought provoking, it will make you laugh out loud, it will make you cry, it will give you heart palpitations waiting to see what is going to happen next.
You will fall in love with the characters in this book. Each and everyone of them (even the ones you hate) you'll come to know and love. Because the book wouldn't be the book without them.
I'm serious, go to Barnes and Noble (or which ever bookstore you prefer) and buy this,
or borrow it from a friend, or download it on your nook or Kindle RIGHT NOW.
(I have a nook which I love and adore, but borrowed it from my roommate. I am considering buying it on my nook though so I can read it whenever I want. That is how much I loved this book.)
And then once you've read it and fallen in love with it, go see the movie.
It is just as good as the book (even with the minor changes they make).
The movie will make you do everything I just said the book will make you do.
