Oh, How Pinteresting

So it's September again.
Where oh where has the time gone.

Y'all, Disney had their Fall decorations up the last week of August!
(If you want to see their decorations, click here, I posted about them last September and they look the same.)
And next week we start the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties.
Which I will be going to. :)

So, in the spirit of entering the "ember" months.
Specifically the fall months (although in Florida you'd never guess!) I'm dedicating this weeks Oh, How Pinteresting to fall clothes I'm dying to wear!

Enjoy!

Add a scarf and this is perfect! :)

Unfortunately I live in Florida, so if I ever get any of these clothes, they'll def have to have a modified fall look!
Alrighty, have a great Wednesday!

Sometimes and Always

Sometimes: I wish I was still in school because the first day of school is the best.
Always:  I'm glad I don't have homework anymore.

Sometimes: I'm jealous of my teacher friends and all their teacher fun and even their stress!
Always:  I'm still jealous but my job at Disney makes it better.

Sometimes: I get mad when Beau has little accidents in the apartment.
Always: I remember he's a rescue pup who's never had a real owner and he's still learning.

Sometimes: I shop online.
Always: I NEVER buy anything cuz I'm scared the clothes won't fit.
(And I forget that I can always send it back.)
(This is my favorite site to browse!)

Sometimes:  Time seems like it's flying by.
Always: It is.  It's SEPTEMBER PEOPLE!

Sometimes: I make a list of things I need to get done on my 2 days off.
Always:  I use one of the to do absolutely nothing at all.
Like today!

Have a great Tuesday!

I'm a Foster Mom!!!

My life encountered another HUGE change on Wednesday night y'all!
Yep, you read right.  I became a foster mom.
To this sweet little PUPPY!

This was a completely spontaneous and unexpected thing.
See my friend Jordan had decided she wanted foster a dog to see if she was ready to adopt a little dog of her own.
A few of our friends had found rescue dogs through the Florida Little Dog Rescue.
(click to read more about them)
Basically they take in dogs from all over Florida who end of in shelters (some of them kill shelters), get them healthy and then find good homes for them.
They are a non-profit organization and don't receive any help from the government.
They are really doing a great thing!
And if you're interested in adopting a rescue dogs they have some great ones!
Anyway, Jordan asked me to come along with her to pick up her new pup.
Off we went.

When we got to house we were greeted by a ton of dogs.
They brought out Jordan's, an 8 year old yorkie named Augusta (she may or may have renamed her Gretchen).
While she was showing us around, that cute little face in the picture caught my eye.
He was at the back of the group trying his very hardest to get to me but just couldn't seem to do it.
After about 5 minutes he made it to me and I was hooked.

To make a long story short, Jordan convinced me to become a foster mom to this cute little guy.
His name was Sherlock but I changed it to Beau (whoops!).
I was given everything I needed for Beau.
A crate, a leash and colar, food bowels, and fea medicine.
All I had to buy was food (and of course I bought some toys, treats, and a bed).
He is just the sweetest puppy ever!
I'm trying my very best to not get attached but boy is it hard!
He's about 2 years old and is pretty well potty trained.
(Save for 2 little accidents, one of which made me so mad because we had just spent 20 minutes outside and he didn't go!)
I also had to show him how to go up and down the stairs.
Now he's a pro!

It's defiantly a HUGE responsibility.
Luckily my roommates have taken him out while I'm gone and played with him and taken him out.
Did I mention this is my first dog?
Yeah, we had cats growing up.
So I find myself worrying over every little thing he does or doesn't do.
Y'all will be seeing a lot of him around the blog!
At least until he gets adopted.

Isn't he just the sweetest thing you've ever seen.
I think so.
But then he is my baby!

Have a great Labor Day!!
I however will be laboring today, and getting holiday pay while I do it!
Woo!

Oh, How Pinteresting

Since I've moved into my new room I've gotten bored with my decor.
Right now it's a mix of deep red, gold and black (with my white iron bed frame).
And I'm ready for something different.
However, my furniture is red, black, and white.  So I've got to find some way to make them work together.
Oh and I'm on a budget.
So I scoured Pinterest for some things I think would work well and wouldn't be too expensive to do.
Here's what I'm thinking.
Gallery wall and some cute, inexpensive DIY decor.

I like the wall on the left more than on the right
or this:

I'll probably do a mix of frames, prints, and lettering.
I also the idea of putting one or two of these on small canvas' on the wall.

I'd also love to scatter some of these around the bedroom and bathroom:

To incorporate a little more organization into the room and especially the bathroom, these cute little deals caught my eye:
This is an old coffee mug holder turned jewelry organizer.

Here's a paper towel rack turned bracelet holder:

Pretty sure I've shared this one before but it's so cute I'm sharing again.
It's a cookie sheet turned decorative tray:

And because I have a problem buying nail polish and need some way to organize them.
I found a spice rack turned nail polish organizer.
Most of this stuff I'm sure I can find at either a Good Will or Salvation Army and can spruce up with some paint to match the color scheme of my room.
Now I just need to get my butt in gear and actually do all these fun DIYs.
Linking up with Michelle for:

Have a great Wednesday! :)

Always: It takes me forever to do it, because I hate the post office!

Always: You learn to curve with it.

Changes

Life has changed.
Well, my life in Florida has changed.
Big time.

Ready for story time?
Good, because this is a long one.

So, back in May my 4 roommates and I decided to resign out leave for another 9 months.
We knew that one roommate had decided not to stay in Florida so we needed to find a fourth person to take over her room.
We had several interested people.  But we had decided to give it to my BFF who lives in California and works at Disneyland.
She had been there for about a year, but wasn't super happy, was super poor (Cali is an expensive state to live in I'm told), and if she moved to Florida she'd be closer to her family.
Plus, she had been telling me for months that she wanted to move back to Florida.
We called her and got the "Yes, I'm 100% moving to Florida in August.  I'll take the room" from her.
So we signed.

Here comes June and I get some shocking news from Suzanne.
(She's the roommate who I've talked about a million times on my blog.  She's my best friend here in Florida, actually more like my sister, and is one of the best people I know!)
Suz's tells me that she has decided to move back to home to Kansas.
My heart dropped to my stomach and I may have freaked a little.
But she's been through a whole lot the last 2 years here in Florida and I knew she needed to go home for a while.
She's said that she was only going home for the holidays and would be back in January to finish out the lease.

I excepted that pretty quickly (although I was still really sad that my best friend was leaving) but was comforted by the fact that my BF from California was still coming.
She reassured me she was still in it and was coming now matter what.
Back in July I got to go home for a whole week.
My cousin got married and I was able to see pretty much all of my family.
It was great.
Save for one thing.
I got a call from BF in Cali.
She was upset and crying (which she never really does!) and said she was confused and wasn't sure she wanted to move to Florida anymore,
UM, WHAT!
I panicked.
A million thoughts started running through my head!
Why not? We've already signed the lease and told everyone else the room was taken.  Suz is leaving and now she's not coming, what the hell am I gonna do.
Through all that though, my first instinct was as her best friend.  I didn't want her to be upset and confused.  I didn't want her to feel like she couldn't talk to me about her feelings.
So I told her it was ok and we'd figure it out.

Then I started to really thing about what it would mean if she didn't come.
And I got angry.
So later in he week I gave her a call back and just told her exactly how I was feeling.
I had been feeling anxious and stressed all while I was at home. (Where I was supposed to be relaxing and happy.)
We had a great conversation, I told her it was only until May and that if she wasn't happy in Florida after all she could always go back. Oh, did I mention that there is a guy involved in this story.
Yeah not on my end (sadly) but on hers. And she's got a new job at Disneyland and has started making more money.  So she's not as unhappy as she was when she agreed 100% in May.
So we get into the beginning of August, our old lease is ending in a matter of weeks and I still haven't heard from her.  That added to the fact that Suz is leaving in the same amount of time, make me feel sad, even more anxious, stressed, angry, and totally unhappy.  I'm at the point where I just want to quit Disney and move home to Texas.

Then I get the official call that BF in California has decided to stay in California.
First thought?
I'm FUCKED.
 (sorry for the language).
I told her I was hurt and angry and that it would take me a while to get over this.
See, I wasn't made because she wasn't moving to Florida.
I was mad because for MONTHS she had been telling us she was 100% sure she as moving here and 3 weeks before she's supposed to start driving here, she tells me never mind.
I couldn't believe that one of my best friends was doing this.
It was awful.

Well to make an already long story short, we did end up finding someone to take the room.
A hundred different scenarios ran through my head on what would happen if we didn't find someone.
I'd have to pay more rent, Suz might have to stay and be miserable (she had found someone to take over her room), life would be terrible.
Luckily pretty much the same day that we lost a roommate, we found a new one.

So now, I'm currently living with 2 boys and another girl (who I've lived with for the last year).
I've moved into Suzanne's old room and the new roommates and I NEVER see each other.
We all have different schedules, different friends, pretty much different lives.
I drove with Suzanne back to Kansas last weekend and when I got back I didn't see any of my roommates for 3 days.
It pretty much feels like I live alone.
Which I hate.

I've NEVER had roommate issues and I have ALWAY been friends with my roommates.
And now that's not the case.
Yes we all get along, but we're not friends.
And to be honest, I'm lonely.
It's an awful feeling.
But I'm slowly getting used to it.  Thank god for my friends at work.
Because if it weren't for them, I honestly don't know if I would be staying in Florida.

But I've come to realize that maybe this is supposed to be happening.
This is God's plan for me and I just have to roll with it.
And thinking that is making it much easier.

Wow, this is one long long post.
I apologize for that, but I've been wanting to write this all out for a while now.

Final thought on the whole situation?

Change is definitely hard but it does make you stronger.
