It Was My Blog's Birthday

Two years ago (yesterday) I started this blog.
And while I am not the most consistent of bloggers I have to say I've loved having a place to share my thoughts and experiences.
It's always fun to look back on the 278 (now 289) posts I've written over the past two years and see how far I've come.
So since I've been MIA for the last month I think I'll give you a massive life update.
I hope to get back into posting everyday during the week.
Here we go:

WORK
Work is going amazing.
Seriously I could not be happier with the direction my work life is going.
I am one of Epcot Guest Relations newest Disney Trainers!
This is a big deal y'all.
Being a Disney Trainer means that my leadership team trusts me enough to teach all the new Guest Relations Cast Members to work in our area.
I'm someone that other GR Cast Members can come to with questions, concerns, pretty much anything.
It's an even bigger deal because I am not even officially statused "full time" to Guest Relations.
I'm just a TA (meaning I'm on a temporary assignment).
But it also means that it's only a matter of time before I'm officially full time.
Because I highly doubt they would make me a Trainer if full time wasn't somewhere in my future!
So keep your fingers crossed for me! :)

LIFE IN GENERAL
Life in general is going ok.

Here are a few highlights.

1.  I took a hug break from blogging after my cousin's wedding at the beginning of October.
Just got out of the swing of things.
But the wedding was beautiful and so fun!

2.  I got a kitten!
After I Beau got adopted I was super sad and I knew I needed another pet.
But with my work schedule being so inconsistent I knew I needed pet that is a little more independent.
So a kitten was PURRFECT. (lol)
I am pleased to introduce Sadie.

She has more fun playing in plastic sacks and boxes then with the toys I bought her.

Sadie decided I wasn't giving her enough attention.

I fell completely in love with her when I saw her at the animal shelter.
She curled right up in my lap and started purring.
She's 4 months old, so still a kitten.
And she is such a mess.
She's constantly attacking anything that moves, she puts herself in the most inconvenient places, and of course I'm totally obsessed with her.
Only drawback?
I'm seriously allergic to her.
I have to wash my hands all the time and vacuum like every other day.
Call me crazy, but I don't care.
I need her and I love her.
I'm willing to occasionally be sneezy to have her around.

3. One of the reasons I have to have her around is because of my roommate situation.
I know I've told y'all about the roommate situation before (you can read it here if you so choose).
By no means has the situation gotten bad, I get along just fine with my roommates.
But I wouldn't go so far as to say we're friends.
We never hang out and sometimes days go by before I see any of them.
So having Sadie has kept me from being too lonely.

4. Big changes are arriving at Disney and I got to expierence one of them last week.
The Magic Kingdom's new Fantasyland is finally going to have its grand opening on December 6th.
And we cast members got to have a preview of the new area.
And y'all......IT IS AMAZING!
If you are a fan of Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid then you need to get your booty to Disney World sometime after December 6th.
Here are a few photos I snapped.
Here is the Beast's Library in Enchanted Tales with Belle.

A couple of my favorite scenes in Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid

Gaston's Tavern

I really needed to see this too.
I have lost the Disney magic and needed to get it back.
And boy did I!
I felt like a little girl again.  It was so exciting to see some of my favorite movies really and truly brought to life before my eyes.
Hopefully I'll be getting even more of my Disney magic back this Thursday when my friend Jordan and I have a Disney day, complete with breakfast a Disney hotel and all the character meet and greets you could possibly think of!

Well y'all, thats all the major news in my little old life.
You'll be seeing a lot more of me from now on!

Have a great Tuesday!

Oh and HAPPY ELECTION DAY!

Harder Then I Thought

I have some sad news today friends.

My sweet little Beau got adopted.

I got the call on Monday while I was driving into work.  Florida Little Dog Rescue said they had an interested applicant.  A 23 year old grad student.  It was then up to me to get in touch with her and set up a meet and greet.  I had to try so hard to hold back the tears that had started to form behind my eyes.

Let me tell you, WORST FEELING EVER!

When I got to work I pretty much bawled for the first 30 minutes.
I really did not want to give up my sweet puppy.

Then I had to remind myself that this was always just temporary situation.  Because financially it would not be smart to have a dog.   And I know that.
But it didn't make it any harder knowing that he would be leaving me.

So yesterday I gave the girl a call and we set up to meet at my apartment at 3 that afternoon.  Worst part was, if she liked him and had the money to adopt him, she could take him right from the meet and greet.

And of course she loved him.  He really seemed to like her too, although throughout the meeting he would keep coming back to me.

But I know she is going to take good care of him and that he'll be happy.

That was the last foster dog I will ever have.  I got way too attached and have no desire to go through that again.

The next pet I have (which will most likely be a cat) is going to be mine.

I snapped a few picture on our last afternoon together.

Our very last picture together!

Have fun with your new momma Beau!

A Little Funny For Your Monday

Well it's Monday.
(Actually it's Friday! woo hoo!)

I get spend my days off going shoe shopping for my cousin's bridesmaid dress.
Anyone know where I can find a cute, inexpensive pair of of Grey heals?
I've found some Nina's that I love but they're like 80 bucks.
But if I can't find any others, those will be the ones.

Alrighty so on Saturday night my roommate Will, his girlfriend, and I watched some pretty hilarious videos via everyone favorite video site.

First up is actually a commercial, that cracks me up EVERY TIME I see it!

Then we have the most awkward moment on Wheel of Fortune EVER.
Seriously, this guy should never show his face in public again.

And finally the funniest moment on Family Feud I've ever seen.

Hope those made your Monday a little brighter! :)

Have a great day friends!

High Five For Friday

Friday's here!

But it's still the end of the real week so I'm gonna be excited just like everyone else.

Ok so it's time for High Five for Friday with Lauren!

one.
I've been waiting MONTHS for this book to come out and it finally did on the 18th!
Needless to say, there isn't much else I've been doing other than reading.
Nerd alert! :)

two.
Last night we had a get together at my friend Jordan's house.
We all ate junk food and watched every show that had an episode where they go to Disney World.
Said shows included: Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Boy Meets World, Roseanne, and Full House

three.
I realized this week that I have one full week left before I get to go home again! :)
My cousin is getting married!
(This is my 4th wedding in the last year.  And I'm in this one too.)
That's a lot of weddings.

four.
I've become one of those people who has a million pictures of their furbaby in their phone.
This cannot be a comfortable way to lay.
But he's so cute!

five.
This weekend I'm decorating the apartment for Fall AND Halloween.
You know since it'll be October in two weeks.
Weird.

Hope y'all all had a great week and have an even better weekend!

Till Monday!

Me, Myself and I Round III

I missed the last round of the Me, Myself and I link up party.

But not this week!

1) When you're feeling down, what do you do to pick yourself up?
Generally a trip to Barnes and Noble and/or Target will do the trick.  A new book or a new...petty much anything from Target is an instant pick me up!

2)  If you had to live in a different time period which would you prefer?
That is an easy one.  I fully believe that I was born in the wrong era.  Like there is no doubt in my mind that I should have been born in either the 1930s and 1940s OR in Henry VIII's London in the 1500s.  Now there is a stipulations on that.  I would have had to been born in the upper class.  I could also have  been born in Queen Victoria's England.  Basically any period with handsome lords! :)

3)  What is the most creative Halloween costume you've ever worn?
It would probably have to have been my costume last year.  A group of my friends and I bought T-shirts that said, "Perkis Power."  Now if you recognize that then yay you.  If not then we can't be friends.  Just kididng. But seriously, google it.  Best Movie EVER! And totally quotable.

4)  Five weird things about you we wouldn't know without being told?
- I hate, loathe, and despise crickets.
- I brush my teeth in the shower.
- I can drink coffee any time of day.  Caffeine doesn't keep me awake or anything.
- Most of the time I have to have total darkness when I fall asleep.
Except when I'm laying on the couch.

5)  What would you tell your 16-year-old self?
You're life may not turn out how you think it will.
But it's gonna be pretty great anyway! :)

Can't wait to read some of the other answers!
Have a happy Tuesday!

Having a Furbaby

I've had sweet little Beau for about 3 weeks now.

And let me tell you, we've had our ups and downs.  Def more ups than downs but y'all, having a furbaby is HARD!

Now remember, I'm just Beau's foster mom.  All I have to provide is his food and a loving environment.   Which I am more than happy to do.

But I think I've figured out that I'm so not ready for a furbaby yet.

I've made a little pros and cons list.  To help me decide whether I want to keep him or not.
Here is is.

PROS:

- He's the cutest little pup in the world.

-I love having something to come home too.  He is always SO excited to see me no matter what.

- He's a great playmate (especially now that he actually plays with me rather than run away).

- He's a good cuddler.

- He loves me unconditionally.

- He doesn't  bark constantly, he loves people, and gets along with other dogs.

-My roommates have been AMAZING and have really helped out a lot with him.  Seriously without them I don't know what I would do.

CONS:

-I'm constantly worried that he's going to pee/poo in the house.
(We've had a few accidents here and there, but for the most part he's trained not to it.)

- I feel bad anytime I leave the house and leave him in his crate.  Makes me not want to go out and do things with friends because I feel like I should be home with him.

- My work schedule isn't very consistent.  So some days I go in late and others early. Thus making it hard to keep him on a schedule.

- He wakes up every 2-3 hours in the middle of the night and has to be taken outside right then otherwise he pees.  Therefore I haven't had straight nights sleep in 3 weeks.

I know these are all things that can be worked out.  I know that he is better off with me then at the rescue and certainly better than where he came from before that.
It's just so hard!  I love this little guy to death.  He has def made my life a little brighter since all that change that came about.
But I just don't know if I'm ready to make a full commitment to a furbaby yet.
I know financially I cannot afford to adopt him.  If I had someone else who had equal responsibility for him (physically and financially) then it might be different.  But that's not the case.

So I will love him, take care of him, train him, and spoil him rotten until a family comes along to adopt him who will do all those same things.  And yes when someone finally does adopt him, I'll cry like a baby.  But I know he'll be better off and happy when that day comes.

Now here are some recent pictures of my cute little guy!

"Pet me, mom! Pet ME!"

This was 10 minutes before I had to leave for work.
I think it's his way of saying I should have stayed home!

Blogging and cuddling this morning.
Gah he's cute!

Have a great Monday! :)
